Throughout the world, night after night, and the focus of millions of people to their television sets - but not to watch the latest soap, or CSI. Do not watch Jay Leno or Sex in the City. Not to see who is the fool and other outplays survivor survives. - And fascinated by the efforts of a small group of people are obese in order to overcome the effects of years of overeating.
It is not surprising that many people so it's a compulsive disorder view. Obesity is the new epidemic. Children throughout the school playground fat wood while their mothers are overweight filling baskets with bad choices. So ... They sit down at night to watch The Biggest Loser. See the amazing weight loss and exciting and new body shapes beginning to emerge. They want the same results - begin to think it might be possible.

But four or five hours a day working on? Who can afford a personal trainer several times a week? And who has the luxury of their own personal adviser on calorie content and smart food choices? The answer: a lot of people do not. But you must remember that this is television: it is a false position. While players and viewers remember: "It's a game, you must make the most of your time here - it would be much more difficult, and in the real world."

Is it difficult in the real world? Maybe. But you can take lessons away from watching this show a reality. You can make it work for you, as well as participants. Here are three practical and useful lessons you can put to use immediately.

1. Adjust the weight loss.

In the home loss biggest loser weight comes first. Make sure she comes first in your home, too. Sounds simple, does not it? It is. In fact, very simple that many people overlook. They try to incorporate exercise and meal planning for the rest of their lives, instead of making it a priority.

Think about what is most important to gain weight and become fit enough to put years to your life - or watching a TV program last? Sat an hour at least. Pen and paper and customize meals a day to plan and record what you eat, and do some form of exercise You still have 23 hours to do everything else!

2. E is for exercise - and fun!

What do you notice in the family the biggest loser? Regarding exercise, as it seems like it. Oh sure, they grunt and groan, race and they complain that they are. But like last week, you can hear them say things like: "I never thought that I look forward to working with them - but now I do not feel good if a day passes without exercise"

The secret of the exercise have not found what is right for you. If you do not really enjoy the gym, and the search for other forms of exercise. You need a combination of cardio and resistance training - but it is not necessary to be on the equipment. Walking, swimming, dancing, climbing the hills, and pushing a wheelbarrow in the garden ... There are endless options that might be fun for you. What happens to research different muscle groups - and your heart - when exercising, and choose activities that you enjoy.

3. Identify triggers.

Emotions run high when participants face their demons. Weight gain is rarely a simple physical origin. If you keep food diaries, and faithfully record not only what you eat but when (and why) to eat it, you will soon see model of emotional eating. What are your players? Boredom? Fatigue? Arguments of the family?

Having identified these triggers, you can start working on strategies to defeat them. This can be as simple as challenging yourself every time you want to power. ("I'm hungry - yes or no, if I'm not hungry, why do not I want to eat I really thirst that if I run the fridge because I angry I, Y there anything else I can do to feel better is? There is a long-term solution that will fix this forever? "and so on.) If you're not yet ready to face the cause, and then be ready with food that will not add to your problems with the resulting rolls of fat. sure you have a "good" food at hand - but the food you like.

These are just three of the lessons that anyone can take to watch The Biggest Loser. And you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you did it all alone.
